Black Friday deals for homeowners

Just about every retailer is running some sort of special today, with many continuing on through next week (hello, Cyber Monday!)

And if you’re a homeowner or real estate investor, it can mean serious savings on repairing, renovating, or just upgrading your property.

Looking to save cash on your home projects? Here are the Black Friday deals you’ll want on your radar:

For appliances: Home Depot

The home improvement store is offering a whole slew of deals, but the best one is on appliances. If you purchase multiple ones, you can get anywhere from $50 to $600 off, plus free delivery. The store is also offering 20 to 50 percent off home decor and furnishings.

For more appliances: Best Buy

Best Buy also has similar appliances deals, though this one turns those discounts into Best Buy-only gift cards. You can also qualify for additional rewards if you’re a My Best Buy Member.

For vacuums, mattresses, and tools: Lowes

Have trouble keeping your place clean? Then Lowes is your answer. The stor has top-of-the-line Dyson and Roomba vacuums for $100 to $150 off each, and you can also get deep discounts on mattresses and appliances (including a pair of LG Energy Star washer-dryers for just $599 a piece). The store is also offering Craftsman cordless drills for just $49 and Shopvacs for $39.

For tech and home security: Walmart

If you’re looking to better protect your property, Walmart is serving up video-powered home security systems for as low as $150. For a tech upgrade, you can also head over to the media department for smart TVs priced at just $98.

Planning some DIY? These home improvements bring the most joy

For furniture: World Market

For furnishings, check out World Market, which is offering 40 percent off all furniture and free shipping on orders over $75. If you become a World Market Rewards member, you’ll qualify for an additional 15 percent off.

For energy savings: Ecobee

Want to save money on your electricity bill? Ecobee’s Black Friday deals can help. The home technology company is offering its voice-enabled smart thermostat for just $199 (versus $249), and there are also bundles available if you want to add in smart sensors, too. As a nice bonus, your purchase might even qualify you for a rebate with your energy company. (CenterPoint offers $50 back, for example).

Home improvement: Which projects to DIY, which to hire out

For landlords: Avail

If you have rental properties (or are considering buying one), then Avail’s deal on property management software might be up your alley. Just add your first unit (or proposed one), check out the tool, and you’ll get a free rent analysis report. It will break down what you could be earning in monthly rent.

For paint: Sherwin-Williams

Need a new coat of paint or just some touch-up? Then head to Sherwin-Williams. The brand is offering 30 percent off all paints (and stains) plus another 15 percent of certain supplies. Just use this coupon to qualify.

Don’t Have Time to Black Friday Shop?

There’s not a discount on this one, but if you don’t have time to take advantage of all these Black Friday deals yourself, Task Rabbit has shoppers you can hire to do it for you. Just make your list, hire your shopper, and watch the deals roll in.
